Default fluffy...

stayed with the grandparents, the martins...never moved when carol and the girls moved into the brady home...
as for tiger, tiger only made it through the first season with the bradys...in real life tiger got run over by a bus...allegedly, according to barry williams in his book, "growing up brady"...he said tiger was...well...defecating in the street and was hit by the bus and died...
now, whether or not this is actually true, i can't say...

I don't understand the whole Tiger thing other than the fact that he died. I read on tvtome.com that the dog who played Tiger got ran over during the same time they were filming the episode where they think Jan is allergic to him. It said that they had a "faux" Tiger and nailed him to the floor during the scene when the boys were saying goodbye to him. They did this because a quick replacement for the oirginal Tiger wasn't cooroperating. If tvtome.com is accurate, then they must have found a good enough replacement because Tiger is seen in further episodes. Jan's allergy is only episode 5. I still don't understand why they eventually wrote Tiger out.

From what I understand, it's an absolute pain in the ass to work with animals, and they often don't last long on sitcoms. Simone the dog disappeared from "The Partridge Family" after the first year, too. And I remember when "Valerie" was first on, they had a dog during the first season, but Valerie Harper herself said that it was too difficult to work around the dog, so he was written out.

My theory is that Tiger ate Fluffy between the pilot and the second episode.

According to Growing Up Brady the "faux" Tiger was very uncooperative, and the prop guys nailed a dog collar to the floor, which ultimately had the dog's head in it (not necessarily while nailing) to hold him down. It wasn't quite as inhumane as being nailed to the floor.

Check it out under the description to Episode #4, "Katchoo," in the chapter entitled "An Insider's Guide to 'The Brady Bunch'", on pages 185-6.

Well, I'm glad it's not as bad as I thought!

I couldn't imagine them crucifying Tiger! That wouldn't be very Brady of them!
