LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Psychologist/media personality Frasier Crane will welcome an old friend -- real-life psychologist/media personality Dr. Phil McGraw -- to a coming episode of "Frasier." McGraw will play himself in an episode of the long-running NBC comedy later this season, the New York Post reports. The story has it that he's an old friend of Fraiser's (Kelsey Grammer) who's now surpassed his fame. If that weren't bad enough, Frasier discovers that Dr. Phil's career is being guided by his old agent, Bebe (Harriet Sansom Harris, reprising her role from past seasons). McGraw, who's authored several books and was a frequent guest on Oprah Winfrey's talk show, now has a highly rated syndicated series of his own. He's also scheduled to appear on CBS' "Late Show" -- where he's a frequent target of barbs from host David Letterman -- Monday night (Feb. 17). He doesn't have plans to branch out into acting, however. "I am not acting on this one -- I'm playing myself," McGraw tells "Entertainment Tonight." "A man's got to know his limitations, and that's mine." |
