Anyone remember an early episode where a young girl had told a friend she might never see her again and acted strange and then a night or so later when the mom returned home the girl had vanished? I remember them showing the girls shoes next to a recliner and it stressed how it seemed as tho she literally vanished and somehow knew she might bew going away? UM showed the young girl in her choir group photo. I have never seen the repeat in all these years...how bizarre.

I think I remember this case but to be honest, I can't remember if I saw it on Unsolved Mysteries or another news/feature program (like 20/20). Either way, it has been years since I saw it. The case I remember involved a young girl who went missing after a Christmas music program at school. Earlier that week, she took some Christmas presents to school and told her friends she wouldn't be there on the day they were supposed to exchange gifts. Her parents say they know she made it home from the Christmas program because her coat and shoes were found in the house. No one had any idea where she went and authorities did not believe she had run away. I can't remember much more about it but I believe she may have lived in one of the Western states. Does this sound like the story you were asking about?

Yep..thats the one! You jogged my memory and now I do remember the recital and all. I know her parents were divorced but they cleared the dad of any possible involvment. I dont understand why after watching reruns for so many years I have never seen this one again?

That's the frustrating thing about the repeats that are shown on Lifetime. I swear there are episodes that are never in the rotation. They keep airing the same shows over and over again (even ones where the cases have been solved or the lost loved ones were reunited years ago). I bet I've seen some episodes close to ten times, while others (like the choir girl) are never shown at all.
