Question What do u think of Ginger?

What do u think of Ginger's character and Tina Louise, the actress who plays her?

Cool

Well...Ginger flirts with every guy who comes on the island, so her morals aren't great. She's sort of pretty, but Mary Ann is prettier. I think I read somewhere that Tina never liked her role becase she thought she would be the main character. I don't know. I guess I don't like her too much, but she's OK.

I always thought that the character Ginger was rather vain. As for Ms. Louise, I'm disappointed that she declined to appear in the reunion movies.

Ginger wasn't my fave charaters and no matter what list it like my fave or who's the funniest she's always the last but except for the worst castaway she has my #1 vote for that. I never liked her character and her, Tina Louise. Do you know she, Tina I mean made the rest of the cast miserable just because she was stuck in the three year contract on the show. Russ Johnson said she was very hard to deal with. I belive him I mean she would probably hold up filming and be in her dressing room all the time when it was late and everyone wanted to go home. Bob's right it shouldn't take very long to be in her dressing room and in the make up chair. She just wanted to be the star of the show and she thought she was. Duh!!!! a show called Gilligan's Island, her character name is Ginger and she thinks she's the star of the show. Ginger and Tina Louise aren't my fave all they both care about is themselves and being famous.

that is just a bunch of crap no offense to you but it is. hello shes the movie star she has to be georgous so of course she will take longer in the makeup chair! not to mention they screwed her over she was sold a bill of rights it was a bunch of crap! and i for one am glad she made life miserable for everyone because they deserve it for all the lies they told her just to get her to sign for the role. Tina IS and always was a terrific dramatic actress and the show ruined it for her. everyone deserved to be made mad and miserable by her because of what theu did to her. *TINA*

Ginger Grant was the kind of woman any man would wish to be marooned with. She was so sexy and had such a sultry voice. She was the lovliest woman on the island, with her rich red hair, beautiful face and perfect form.My favorite scene with Ginger is any where she is in a bathing suit-and the one where she seduces the Russain cosmonaut.(Promise of seeing her taking,"a moonlight swim.")Ginger is always glamorous.Hubbahubbahubba!!!!

I kind of liked Ginger when I first started watching the show...I think her glamour made her kind of jump out at me...it wasn't until I was a teen ager and watched the re-runs that I realized that Mary Ann is actually prettier, IMHO. And a whole lot of my friends noticed the same thing regarding the two ladies. Tina L and Dawn W were both very beautiful women during the run of the show. If I had to be stranded on the island with one or the other, I would pick Mary Ann. She's was just as pretty back then, and was much nicer. I also think Dawn Wells has aged much better than Tina Louise. Looking at the two of them today, Dawn is still much prettier. I also saw the E! True Hollywood Story about G.Island, and apparently Tina WAS very difficult on the set, and she did, in fact, believe that she would be the star of the show.

well thats your opinion.. to me Tina looks terrific and much better then dawn. and did u even listen to the E true hollywood story or anything.. hello they screwed Tina over! they told her the show was about a movie star and 6 other castaways so u def cannot blame Tina. and i also dont blame her one bit for being difficult on the set everyone deserved what they got for what they did. thats my opinion.

I do agree that the producers or whoever decided to cast Tina did lie to her and she truly did believe the show was supposed to be about the movie star -- cuz that's what she was told. But, as far as being difficult to work with goes: she shouldn't have made work harder for the rest of the cast. They had no say in what the studios did or what had originally been said to her.
She also didn't want to do any of the reunions b/c she said the show ruined her dramatic career, which I agree with. It is kinda hard to be taken seriously after being on a show like GI. On the other hand, if it weren't for GI, I'd probably have no idea who Tina is and you might not either.
Just my 2 cents...

I have heard many different things about Tina Louise, such as there's one sure way to make her angry- saying even one word about Gilligan's Island to her. It seems as if she considers it some kind of blemish to her career. I really can't stand celebrities like her. She was lucky enough to land a role on a show that millions of people love to watch, and will continue to, long after she's gone. That's something she should really be proud of. After all, how many of us can say that we have accomplished something like that? Sorry everyone, please forgive my rambling:-)
