Default Contacts

Ok..for those of you who have had glasses in the past and then switched to contacts, which did you like best? are contacts easy to adjust to, you know the putting in, taking out? does it ever get annoying? how long does it take until your eyes stop getting watery once you put them in? i've been thinking about getting contacts for like a year and i'm finally going to the doctor's office tomorrow, but i need to know about "the contacts experience." plus my mom's like "be 100% sure...." because they charge for a lot of money for the time they take to show you how to put it on. also, if you get them for the doctor's office, do you get them the same day? because the assistant said they'd need more money to show me how to put them on tomorrow, so why would they show me if they're not giving them to me tomorrow. so...please write back!

I think contacts are cool, even though I don't have them, lol. But I just hate it when people say, "Hold on, let me take my eyes out." Just the way that's worded gives me the creeps.

Contacts are God. I love mine sooooo much. It's really hard at first, but dont get frustrated. I was sitting at the eye doctor for an hour and a half trying to get mine in, but by the next day it was soooo easy. (I'm trying to answer all your questions) It doesnt get annoying....it's like a routine after a while...Your eyes dont really get watery unless you have problems getting em in and you keep touching em. They're not like....gonna keep flowing.....yea its hard to explain.

So yes. Get contacts.

I'd like to get contacts b/c I hate my glasses, but I'd only need one because I have perfect vision in my right eye and I'm half-blind in my left. So it wouldn't make sense. Too bad...

I knew a girl who only wore one contact.

Anyway, contacts are great. I get sick of wearing these damn glasses. The one bad thing (for me anyway) is say I wake up and don't want to put them in right away. So I put my glasses on for a couple hours, then switch to contacts. If I do it right away, I get dizzy. And they're a bitch to sleep in. DRYNESS!!

Oh, and you might tear a few at first. But you outgrow it. I haven't torn one in years.

The nice thing is that I have the monthly disposeable ones, so if I tear one, I always have a couple of backup pairs. I get them every six months and I can ususally wear a pair for about a month and a half if I need to. But I haven't lost of torn any lately since I've had them for about 2 years now.

My mates Emma and Marco both wear contacts. They were sick of people calling 'em geeks all the time so they ditched their glasses!
Personally, I think sometimes glasses can be rather foxy! I know a few women who look better with their glasses than without them. I wear glasses for reading and watching TV and stuff. I don't need to wear 'em all the time but I've been told I really suit them so I do try'n wear them as much as possible.

I like them because now i don't have to wear my glasses. But they are kind of any annoyance to put them in/out of your eyes you don't feel the contacts in ur' eyes. But like the first week u get em' it feels like there is something stuck in ur' eye.

I used to wear contacts but they were a hassle. I didn't have much trouble putting them in but it was hard for me to take them out and they would irritate my eyes especially during allergy season. I just wear my glasses now and I'm about due for a new pair. I want to get the framless ones. I think those are cool.

I'm a lazy person and I never really CLEAN my contacts, I just take them out and put them in the holder thinger. I got lots of bacterial growth on my lenses that way. So I switched to hard lenses, which are so much easier than soft. Not only do you not see the lines at all around your colored thinger in your eye, they're much easier to clean.

You can tell when someone has hard of soft lenses. You CAN still see the outline of the soft ones. Hard ones are so little. They're cute.

Oh yea..

I have never torn a contact. Well I mean...sometimes they get stuck to the side of my case and then they rip, but I've never torn one putting it in or anything...thats just me.

I dont see how people can sleep with contacts in. Oh man it hurts like a bitch.

I like contacts the best. When I first got them I was 14 and I had so much trouble getting them in my eyes. My dad had to put them in for me. Now they are so easy to put in. They are alot better than glasses.
