blonde beautician murdered by hitman?

Does anyone know what case this is? I think it was an older case, maybe the 80's, but there was a real prtty blonde girl and her husband was a big guy and very unattractive (i'm not being judgemental, just grasping at straws) but she worked at a beauty shop and was found raped and murdered. The cops think her husband knows who did it. AGH! I caught the end of a re-run so can anyone help me here? It was so unusual. The photo they kept showing was of her in her wedding dress with her husband.

I know of one case. It aired on Unsolved Mysteries at the end of the 1996-97 season (the show's last season on NBC). The victim's name was Dana Satterfield. She was murdered in July of 1995. The crime took place in South Carolina.

Her husband (whom I recall was overweight) was thought to have been involved, and that he might have hired someone to kill her. However, the fact that Dana was raped and stabbed doesn't fit the theory of a contract killing. In addition, a woman saw a man flee the beauty shop where Dana worked, but the man in question did not fit the description of Dana's husband.

Although a composite drawing of the accused killer was shown, the case remains unsolved.
