Well, that's what you think but I always thought Gilligan and Mary Ann. They just looked good together. In most episodes you can see that Mary Ann admires and likes him kind of and anyway he makes mistakes she still is his friend and Gilligan kind of likes Mary Ann as a friend but I don't mean that they both love eachother I just mean that they look just like friends.

No one and the Prof... How bout that, huh?

Professor likes no one! Understand that? Good.

Sorry to sound bee-otchy, but people who think the professor likes one of the girls make me mad, because it's obvious helikes NO ONE.

Wait there's something else to add to my post above: Mary Ann really likes Gilligan and Gilligan is too scared to really admitt that he really likes her. There is evidence of Mary Ann admiring and liking Gilligan in every episode. In the beauty contest episode when Gilligan before Gilligan suggests to have the contest he says here's to... all of girls and he says their name but when he says Mary Ann it is a little different and I know that the proffessor suggested Mary Ann but I know Gilligan would of picked Mary Ann but he thought he would get in troble so he didn't pick her. Another clue of the liking eachother is when they watch a play or somethin like in episode 48(the moqutos episode) or episode 72 (the producer episode) they always sit next to each other. Also at the end of # 25 the macthmaker episode Gilligan and Mary Ann are walking together, and alos in episode 36 the episode where Gilligan brakes his nose and the girls try to convince him that he's attractive, Mrs. Howell and Ginger really didn't mean it and really didn't act like he did when Mary Ann came around and it was like that he was conviced when she came and when she said I always have liked you she really did mean it. I think Gilligan and Mary Ann like each other but Gilligan won't really show that he likes her because he is scared to but he is much closer to Mary Ann than Ginger. He's really scared of her and he doesn't really care for her but he does care for Mary Ann.

Responding to A Gilligan Fan ss: Bravo! Yes, it is so true! In every episode there are the little things that I have noticed that back up what you're saying. And in the "Matchmaker" episode you mentioned, (in the scene where the Skipper and Professor are talking to Gilligan before he goes to the Howells'), they all but come right out and tell Gilligan that she likes him. They noticed it, but obviously he didn't until the Howells leave them alone during dinner.

Okay, I was hoping I wouldn't have to do this, but......

Mary Ann DID like Gilligan, she even admitted it. BUT. He didn't like her. He's way too childish and she gradually comes to realize it.

The Professor has been chased all over the island by Ginger, but never once has he shown any interest in her. He obviously has a thing for Mary Ann. He picks her for the beauty contest, he calls her "Dear" many times (I remember it mostly in the "Beauty is as Beauty Does" episode and "The Second Ginger Grant" but he does it other times as well.)

Ginger would never get together with the Prof, but it doesn't matter, because both the Skipper and Mr. Howell have a big thing for her.

Sorry this is so long, but that's just the feeling I get from watching the shows. I guess we all have a different vibe about this topic, and I guess we're all allowed to have our own opinions.

But I still say it's Mary Ann and the Professor!

Oh and also more evidence of Gilligan liking Mary Ann : In the Matchmaker episode where Gilligan and Mary Ann are alone Gilligan says that he would spend all day picking flowers for some one as sweet or pretty as you are, it's something like that, I don't know the excact words but there's always a clue that they both like each other. And we all have different opinions and thats good and we are allowed to have different opinions but I will always say the Gilligan and Mary Ann like each other. Gilligan & Mary Ann!

One thing in the Professor's favor: In the episode, "The Beauty Contest," near the beginning of the episode when the men (except Gilligan) are stating their opinions... the Professor says, "The lady I would pick as the most beautiful in the world- Mary Ann." If you listen carefully, Mary Ann says (to the Professor) a barely audible "Thank you."

Thumbs up

Ya'll are forgetting the HAIR TODAY, GONE TOMORROW episode. You know, the one where Gilligan's hair turns prematurely grey. In this episode Mary Ann leans in and plants an extended wet one on Gilligan. Remember? She does this to make him feel young again.

Oh and Mary Ann always makes him coconut cream pies and also in the episode where they find sap/syrup from a tree to have syrup with thier pancakes, Gilligan finds a tree that has sweet sap then Gilligan says "It's sweet" and Mary Ann says: "Just like you, Gilligan and he kind of laughs like he's a little embarrased but he likes her a little. Also in the episode where they think there are head hunters in the jungle and that's who they are taking the girls (episode #81 "And Then There Were None") and Gilligan says "Oh no not sweet wonderful Mary Ann"

Cool

Sorry I dont know the Episode names! But right here im not saying that the professor likes Ginger. But I am trying to tell you he dosent like Mary Ann! My personal opinion is that he has no interest in women! For example in the gold mine episode Ginger was on the Professor's lap while Mary-Ann was swimming in the water. Also in that movie making episode ginger and Professor had to kiss. Well, to me it looked like he was enjoying it ! Cause it was so long! Anyway I think Ginger likes Professor, Mary Ann likes Gilligan!

Mary Ann and Gilligan shared an innocence that would have driven any of the other island dwellers stark raving mad inside of six months so it must be Gilligan and Mary Ann.

The professor is the only one who could put up with Ginger long enough to intellectually intimidate her into submission and could probably invent enough trinkets to feed her vanity...not to mention the occasional useful item that might help her keep her looks...I mean let's face it, no matter who she married she was going to face more mountings than a KMart pony that first year or so.

If the skipper wasn't a enuch, by the time he got off that island he could probably change hands and gain a stroke.
