Default Lucy's age

Is it me, or is Lucy aging too quickly on the show? The show started and she was 12 then later on, she is just a year younger than Mary who was to be 14 in the beginning. Now Lucy is "almost 21" and Simon is 16? The brother/sister spent one year together in high school. freshman/senior. Isn't that odd?

Well the show has been on since 1996... Thats 7 years... and I think Lucy turned 13 in an early episode in the first season, I'm not real sure though.

She did? I assumed something like that occured. Still though, she has advanced somewhat with her age. The twins corrected Annie when told Simon that he was 15:

Sam and David: Sixteen!
Annie: What?
Sam and David: Simon's Sixteen!

yeah, I think that Mary is supposed to be like 1 year older than Lucy, but in real life Lucy is the oldest of the 2

Default The characters' ages: once and for all

According to Matt's saying back in season 6, the Camden kids' ages in the upcoming season (8th) will be:

Mary - 22 [21 in real life]
Lucy - 21 [22 in real life, she's actually older than her on-screen big sister]
Simon - 17 [like he is in real life]
Ruthie - 13 [14 in real life]
Sam & David - 5 [like they are in real life]

As for Matt himself, I don't know for sure, he's probably 23-24.
BTW - Barry Watson is 29 in real life.
And yes, Lucy has celebrated her 13th birthday back in season 1.
