The whole concept of "American Idol" makes my blood curdle. They're just trying to poison the music industry, leaving it in even worse condition than they found it.

I agree. It's like all they focus on is just looks, not how well people sing, although some sing pretty well. And, I think Simon sucks because he never has anything nice to say about anybody. Like, when he told that kid that he was the worst singer in the world. That's harsh. And, the music industry will get worse that way. Do you notice how all the guys and girls sing almost the same? It was so much better in the past when there was more variety. Now almost every song on the radio sounds the same. The music industry sucks now.

Sure he's harsh but the good thing is he's very honest. That kid whom he dubbed the worst singer in the world was the worst person who auditioned this year IMO. If they show reruns of the auditions, you should listen to the people whom he criticized. They deserved it. How can they believe that they are good singers? He is probably the most brutally honest person I have ever seen and that is important in cases like this.
