Arrow Cosby Show in it's later years.

I didn't get who was who, once all the new characters came on. I mean, Sondra was nowhere at first, then she magically appeared. Then she was married, then Denise, then Sondra had kids, then Denise left and left Olivia behind, then Sondra and Elvin and the kids all moved in the house and then finally moved out.

It was so confusing to me, but now I understand the plot.

I think once Sondra gave birth, she and Elvin should have packed their bags and moved away. Elvin seemed cool, but Sondra didn't click with me. I think once they had the twins their characters should have been written off. I did like what they did with Olivia. It brought back the "cuteness" since Rudy was getting older. They wrote denise and her new Husband off just right. I think they should have done the same once Sondra and Elvin had the kids.

I think the show deserved one more year. Theo goes to grad school; Vanessa returns home to go to a closer college and Dabnis tranfers there too to work there. The family then suspects that they are going to marry, and then they eventually do. Rudy graduates 8th grade and is scared of going to a public high school when all her friends are going to an all-girls school (private) like on the Facts of Life. Cliff and Clair then allow Rudy to go there. Rudy, however, in the final few episodes gets a job to help pay for the school she will live at. I think Olivia would return for another year, since Denise's baby is very sick and they are taking care of it. In the series finale, I guess everyone would gather when Denise and hubby come back to get Olivia. And claire and Cliff are free of all kids. Oh yeah, and Theo becomes a teacher. Rudy and BUDD share a sexual experience but Cliff catches them before anything serious happens. Rudy and BUDD become BF and GF.

I disagree, I think the Cosby show lasted a little too long.

I haven't watched the show since 2000. BUT, I used to be a huge fan.

Anyway, the last season never should have happened. I mean, when I see that last season, I just cringe and change the channel. Nearly everyone was rarely seen anymore, all the kids were MIA half of the time.

Yeah the later years were unrecordable. I don't record no episodes after 89. Just became dull and Cousin Pam and her hip hop friends didn't make the show any better.

I agree with the Pam thing too. I didn't like her character. She wasn't needed.

I do think the show deserved 1 more year to clear up the Vanessa/Dabnis plot.

I think if there was another season, they would have gotten married. I also think that Rudy and Kenny would find each other as their soulmates after each are dumped by their partners before the 8th grade dance.

In the last couple of years, I've started to become acquainted with the last two seasons (I was watching The Simpsons Thursday nights at 8, not Cosby). Here's my verdict:

You can still see a glimmer of the original Cosby Show charm with the Cliff/Clair moments, but most of the magic is withered away by the presence of Pam. I didn't like her character.

As far as the kids go, they became kind of annoying. I'm not sure if this is the fault of the actors of the writers, but the only original Cosby kid I liked in those last two seasons is Theo.

OK..I think you've went a little too far there... but I do agree, there should have been one more season, and the whole cast should have been in the final episode...

Default The last season

I didn't like the last season of The Cosby show either. Didn't like Pam. Why do they always change a good show and the changes kill it off? Don't fix what's not broken, ya know?
