Sad Grocery Shopping

Anyone else hate grocery shopping? I HATE IT!!! I had to go to the grocery store this afternoon because I had no food left in my dorm room. It was very crowded, and of course, you have the people who leave their cart right in the middle of the aisle. Also, out of 15 registers, they only had three lines open and there were a lot of people waiting to check out. Meanwhile, several cashiers were standing around not doing anything. AARRGGHH!!! I only go grocery shopping when I absolutely have to. I try to get my parents to shop for me.

<sigh!> Sometimes, I don't know what's worse: working in a grocery store, or shopping in one.

I love grocery shopping! I'll do yours if you want. I live right by a Farmer Jack and I go there all the time but I always wind up spending too much money there.

I don't like grocery shopping either, especially waiting in long lines.

I work in a grocery store, so I really hate it now. Before it wasn't that bad.

I know! I don't understand why they have 12+ registers when they only seem to use 3 or 4 at a time.

I really hate those self-checkouts too! They're annoying as hell and they always mess up.. and then the person who they hired just sits there and watches while we do all the work! Those lazy bastards!! lol

I always make the mistake of shopping when I'm hungry.

I am a cashier at a store. At my store, it's much worse though. After my friend leaves usually at 6, I'm the only cashier until 8 & there's four registers & mine is the only one open. Customers bitch about it but I go as fast as I can & there's always a line, but the owners won't hire anybody else! Just this evening, people were complaining but they're just gonna have to get used to it & realize by now that there's just one cashier until the store closes. Back to the orginal subject-I don't like grocery shopping. I don't like shopping at where I work. Foodland doesn't have anything I want to eat! The only time I shop is for mom & I never can find the right thing

It has it's days. I hate it the day before Thanksgiving or Christmas. Millers, Price Chopper, Hannaford, they're all mad houses. Same or worse if you go before a big blizzard hits.

Other times it's not bad.

The store I shop at when I'm at college is a Price Chopper. I used to love shopping there, but customer service has really taken a nosedive.

The store I work at is a little better. It's in a small town, so it doesn't get as many customers. Also, the management knows how to keep a few lines open.

I love love LOVE grocery shopping!! I do the shopping for me and my parents and I use coupons-- I am a Coupon Queen. I only go once a month, spend about $200 and usually save around $60-70 with my coupons and my rewards card. My mom used to go every week and spend more than $100. Ugh- she should thank me for saving her so much $$$!

I could spend all day in a grocery store if I could. Thank God for 24 hour Farmer Jack's.
