Question Episodes seem cut down

I first started watching the show when I was in 4th grade (about 20 years ago). And I watched them over and over of course because they were so fun. But it seems now when I watch them I have vague memories of things that were in the episode and that are now cut so they can add more commercials. Am I the only one noticing that?

I was wondering if there is a website that has the full scripts unedited or if you can buy videos of the full tapings that I remember watching as a kid.

The reason why the episodes appear different and some parts are because some parts weren't shown during 1964-1967 when it ran. I read it in one of the Gilligan's Island books and I noticed that when I watched some episodes on two different channels they were channel 6 and 19. Channel 6 sometimes has more than channel 19 and channel 19 sometimes has more than channel 6. There must have been the same amount of commercials in the 60's when GI ran because I read something that there were some parts missing but now they show them and Channel 6 in the best channel to watch because I think it's shown like how it ran in the sixties and it wasn't colorized like channel 19 was. But I did notice that the two channels that it reruns on now has the same stories but some parts to it aren't there. I am only in the 6th grade but I have looked at almost all the episodes at least 10 times and I watched them alot on those two different channels. To see some scripts but they are just from people who memorized the episodes the web site is www.gilligansisle.com you could even join the club but I don't know a place that does the origanal scripts but I seen a script on www.ebay.com. The thing that would help the most if Gilligan's Island came back at 9:00pm (eastern time)at nick-at-nite. Please try to help get it back on 9:00 pm. If you want to go to www.tvland.com (since nick-at-nite doesn't have a website anymore) and go somewhere where it says you can contact them but contact nick-at-nite not tvland. I think it still says you can still contact nick-at-nite.

I beieve parts are cut out to make way for comercials. I haven't seen Gilligan's Island in awhile so I wouldn't realize if a scene was cut out or not. I have seen episodes of Hogan's Heroes where some scenes are edited down or cut out entirely to add more comercial time. Some of the dialog that I've noticed cut were some of the funniest lines in that episode. How tragic that some great comedy is wiped out. Some of the lines cut only lasted several seconds. So there must be a lot of cutting going on. If you have never seen the episode then I guess the cable station figures that you won't miss it.

Can you say syndication?

BTW Gilligan's Island sucks; yea its doing some bad sucking here. I don't know if its the fact that they show it oh I don't know like 20 times a day!:eek or if people actually try to explain that this show is a microcosm of society as seen on
