Okay, who is watching "Profoundly Normal?" It is an AMAZING movie and I thought I'd spread the Kirstie love! This is all the proof anyone needs to assure them that Kirstie is a BRILLIANT, diverse actress! She deserves immense recognition for this movie. I haven't seen a performance as surprisingly refreshing since Sean Penn in "I Am Sam." It's hard to portray someone with mental retardation and do it with a warmth and sincerity that real MR sufferers possess. Her character possesses an incredible strength and is a role she's been much in need of to display her talents. She was great as Rebecca, but she is PHENOMENAL as Donna.
![]() GO KIRSTIE! I have a newfound respect for her!!! |

I missed it, but it definitely sounds like a stretch for Kirstie.

She is a good actress. Veronica's Closet was horrible, IMHO.

I saw it and i thought it was great. i wanted to see it cuz i knew Kirstie was going to b in it, but when i turned it on (it was a little after it began, when they were in the 'interview' stage) and i had 2 be told it was her! lol
once i knew, i could tell it was her, but she did do a great job. it was kinda a stretch, but she pulled it off better than anyone would think. i liked how she was the stronger one here (unlike Rebecca... lol!) Doug |
