That is one of my favorite quotes because it is kind of funny how he says it.

What is your favorite quote?

"In addition to beauty and face and figure, there is a lady on this island who also exhibits sweetness and warmth. The lady I would pick as the most beautiful in the world, Mary Ann." See? The Professor really DID have a thing for her!

SKipper: (to Gilligan) And don't get yourself lost like you did that jewel.
Gilligan: That's impossible, Skipper. I'm too big to fit inside my pocket.

LOL

that would be just wrong. he's supposed to be what....35? something like that. and she's like, 19? um....no. not gonna work.

besides, that quote doesn't prove anything. MA was the baby of the group....like their little sister. to everyone except Gilligan, that is. those two are close in age and like spending time together. and there are about a zillion different quotes that can be indicative of a crush. "highly indicative." lol

Proffy was just being a nice "big bro." he wasn't gonna sit there and let nobody speak for Mary Ann. just the same way in eye of the idol when she refuses to leave him alone. it's a friendship thing. they never say anything to each other that can be considered flirtatious.

i understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion...and maybe we all take this subject a little too seriously (i'm guilty of that), but if you really break it down, watch every episode, pay attention to how they act around each other and things they say....then you can see that it's G/MA, and P/G all the way. i'm not being opinionated...just stating the facts.
