Question

I really don't know how they get off the island. I haven't seen the movies. But I was hopeing they wouldn't get off. Wouldn't it be funny if when it comes the time for them to get married? Who would Ginger and Maryanne choose? Gilligan? Professor? Skipper!?

Yeah........if they get off the island. Professor is the kind of guy that Ginger likes. Maryanne wants the more childlike.
Oh did you see "Don't Bug The Mosqitos" last night? I love the part when the 'qitos opened a concert to the castaways. and Gilligan and Maryann were sitting together and dancing. That was soooooo cuuuuuuute!!!!!!! Hey, I'm obsessed with the fact that it will work out for Gilligan and Maryanne. Their may fav characters!!!!!!

I've seen "Rescue from Gilligan's Island". Tina Louise didn't want to have anything to it (or she simply didn't feel she was offered enough money to return), so they got Judith Baldwin to play the role of Ginger.

They eventually get off the island after the Professor discovers that a Typhoon is headed towards the island. The Professor decides to use this potential disaster as an impetus for getting off the island. They all tie themselves to the bamboo poles of a hut, and they all float out to Sea as the storm ensues.

As they are floating out in the middle of the Pacific, they all begin to lose hope of ever seeing dry land again. Eventually, Gilligan starts a fire, without telling anyone, because he wants to surprise everyone with some cooked fish for dinner. The fire, however, begins to cause a hole in the boat, and the rest of the castaways think that one of Gilligan's trademark antics has finally done them in for good. However, a helicopter sees the smoke, and tells the castaways that if it wasn't for the smoke from Gilligan's fire, he would have never seen them. So they are rescued.

They all head for Hawaii, where they are greeted with a hero's welcome, with lots of press and a parade. They then head back to the states, and resume their "normal" lives.

While in Hawaii, Gilligan finds a "good luck charm", and as a result of this "charm", two Russian spies follow him around, yet Gilligan just happens to escape them by chance, on every singal occasion.

As the rest of the castaways head back to their previosu residences, they discover that their rescue is anyhting bu a blessing. Mary Ann heads back to the farm, and finds that she is no longer infatuated with her finace. The Professor becomes annoyed with all the attention he recieves from the students when he returns to teach at his Univesity, and the Howells begin to miss the rest of the castaways. Gilligan and the Skipper visit all of them, and try to cheer them up.

They all eventually head back to Hawaii for a reunion cruise, and yes you guessed, a storm hits, and the castaways are once again left shipwrecked on an island. And yes, it's THE EXACT SAME ISLAND! Pretty lame ending, but they all seem pretty content, as they grew to love their lives together on the island.

Hey, here's a trivia question:
If you were to pick 3 castaways to be stranded with who would you choose?
I would choose Gilligan, Maryanne, and Scary thought, the Professor.just because he's smart. Gilligan because he's funny and we're Kinda alike. Maryanne because we could be best friends. And we have higher morals.

Pretend your one of the castaways. Like Maryanne if your a girl or Gilligan if your a boy. Wouldn't it be hard after knowing these 7 wounderful people so long and yet your to go your seperate ways the next day!
You realize how much your going to miss Gilligan's screw ups. Maryanne's home cooking. Skipper bossing you around. Professor and his confusing conversations. Ginger's vainity. and the Howells' fear of work. If I'd known them that long i would never laeve them.

In some of the later movies (such as when the Globetrotters visited the island), we find out that the castaways opened up a resort on the island and they all live there together. So no need to worry about them having to go their seerate ways!

Meanwhile... picking 3 castaways to be stranded with, I would choose Maryanne, Ginger, and Mr. Howell. Maryanne and Ginger had been the center of many adolescent fantasies for me, and Mr Howell is old and would die soon, leaving me with al the money and all the babes on the island! Hoody Hoo!

I think just about any heterosexual man is going to including Mary Ann and Ginger in his trio, even though Mary Ann would be enough to make me happy. As far as the third person goes, I've got to go with the Professor. I want a radio, a tv, and a computer, all made out of cocunuts, amd I'm sure a 2000 version of the Professor will be able to have the know how and the ability to make that happen! Mary Ann can handle all the cooking and she can make me plenty of those coconut cream pies, and Ginger (not really needed) can make herself useful by fanning me as I rock back in forth in my hammock. Plus, since the Proffesor was Asexual, he will leave my women alone!

Well yeah, its just as normal for you BOYS to pick Maryanne to live with you on that island. But using Ginger as your slave, that's just cruel! Even for Ginger!
Anyways, thanks for all your comments.
I choose Gilligan because he would make me look to the bright side of things when we don't get rescued and also he makes me laugh.
I choose Maryanne because she's not selfcentered, and she can cook!
Lastly I choose the Professor just cause he's smart. We do not speak the same language!
But if i were to choose one i'd still choose Gilligan because i don't have to worry about his horomones going wild. I'm a girl in case y'all don't know.
