Thumbs down shawn & jack

just a thought after watching today's episode, the relationship between the was never fully developed and although they had 1 or 2 touching moments for the most part i almost forget they were related. any comments?

Default I agree

Yes, the could've done a lot more with the Shawn-Jack relationship, but then, I thought they should've done a lot more with the Cory-Eric relationship too. Instead they chose to make it more a show about "friends" Cory-Shawn, Cory-Topanga (that was done to death if you ask me) and a tiny bit about Jack-Rachel-Eric. It would have been good if they had developed the "brother" relationships more. I always felt there was a little too much emphasis on Cory-Topanga, and 'poor' Shawn's family woes & relationship problems were also done to death. Still, in spite of it all, it was a good enough show for me to call it my favorite sitcom. To this day, I've found no sitcom I like better. I'm one of those die-hards that's hoping for a reunion show & maybe even a spin-off, though I know it's unrealistic to expect either of those to ever happen. Hey, I can dream, can't I?

You never know about that reunion. Give it a few years, they might have one. You never know.

I can relate to Rachel ALOT No one really understood her I feel they thought of her as the snobby Rich new girl that no one really New but in reality she was just a smart sweet person with a wee bit of a smartmouth thats SOO ME People around here have ALWAYS thought I was a Rich Snob in reality I'm not at all I"m shy and a smart mouth (Okay SHOPPING at the Gap WOULDNT help any for me either BUT I CANT HELP IT hehe) My Fave line she says (which reminds me of something I'D SAY) is "Oh Yeah You're right you Got me I'M HOT for your Penny" thats soo me I would say that

Default relating to

Yeah, Anahiem, I get how you can relate to the Rachel character. One of the things that I think made BMW a successful show was that it consisted of a myriad of characters which we could relate to on one level or another. That's the mark of good writing for a TV show -- for them to be able to create character(s) that we viewers can relate to. They did that well on BMW. Each character was especially created in such a way so somebody somewhere (actually a lot of somebodies) could identify with them and "care" about them. Funny though, I never thought of "Rachel" as a smartmouth or as a shy person really. And I didn't realize that her character was rich either. At least I did not get that general impression. I mean, I knew Jack was rich. And about the shyness appearing as snobbery thing, yeah, that happens. My very best friend is like that. I didn't like when I first met her as I thought she was a snob. I tried to make conversation with her & she didn't respond. Months later I found out she's just shy. She told me that at her 5 year high school reunion, one girl came up to her & said, "we all thought you were so stuck up because you would never talk to anyone." Duh! You've gotta give people a chance for Pete's sake. Course in high school we were all kinda clueless when it came to interpersonal skills. LOL

first of all forget about the other thing I wrote in the what is your favorite season thread I FORGOT I wrote that in here
second of all well I Dont think she was totally Shy I think she was in some circumanstances and well she was a smartmouth to an extent remember that above saying that I said (about her saying "Oh Yeah you're right I"m hot for your penny") she sort of said that in a sarcastic tone and some of the other things she said were sarcastic Hmmm well the Rich thing I may have gotten wrong she just looked like she was well to do just by the way she dressed and stuff BUT that doesnt mean anything all My clothes come from the Gap (which most of it is the same kind of clothes Rachel would Wear) so I look like I SPENT a FORTUNE on it but really I didnt I"m BY NO means Rich maybe Rachel was like that to she just looked like she was but really wasnt. I dont really remember if they ever mentioned Rachels background or not Hmmmm maybe I should start watching the reruns again on disney
