Last night's Beav was awesome, way ahead of it's time.
1) Wally and June are talking about some movie about some king and Wally says: "If he was this big king, what was he doing living in a place with rats?" June has no answer. Later in the ep, she asks Ward the same question. His response: "Only a woman would ask such a thing." And we see June's knowing face. What a moment! June's look told us two things: 1) women are oppressed and Ward's the oppressor; 2) Wally is gay. 2) Beaver's lawn-cutting paycheck bounces. Ward's response? "Well, that's the problem when you decide to go out into the world. You find out what people are really like." Ward is truly an anti-capitalist crusader! Let's look for more anti-establishment moments in the days to come.
