Default Terrorism at 52 miles high!!! The Columbia tragedy!!!

I think it was Terrorism that caused it. Hell, the audio and video on the space shuttle went dead, after all. There was an Isralian Jew aboard the space shuttle, and I'll bet that one of the 4 American men aboard was actually an Arab muslim in total disguise. Hey, it's a good theiry, ya know!!!

Im with Jenny. I just think it was an accident. It sucks now, because whenever something like this happens, itll be so easy to blame it on terrorism.

It was an accident.. I highly doubt Nasa would let anyone on that looked even somewhat disguised. .. LOL, Nice try though!

I agree. I don't think it was terrorism, it was just a tragic accident. I think the cause was either from take off when the left wing got hit by the foam thing or when it was reentering the Earth's atmosphere it hit something, but it was to high for terrorist to shoot it down at that point. JMO

Whoa, there. The uninformed - not the media - have blamed this on terrorism.

You are right AKA,My apologies, I should have said the uninformed, not the media. I read my post over and realize my mistake. I will change it, the media said that terrorism could be a possibility or something that couldn't be ruled out at the time,I guess I got a little confused there. Sorry about that.

I agree.. it was an accident. It's not right to assume that just because there was an Israeli on board that it was caused by terrorism.

I agree and I think in this case the eye-rolling is well-deserved.
Since September 11 people are blaming everything on terrorism. Sometimes $h!t just happens - terrorists aren't behind every tradegy, upset or mere mishap that happens in this world!
I'm also more than slightly concerned that some people see an Israeli person (or someone from that part of the world) walking down the street and immediately assume that they are up to no good or that they are a threat to the public safety! That is stereotyping at it's worst! For those of you who do subscribe to this school of thought, consider this -

Someone - not from the USA - sees a documentary about Charlie Manson or Jeffery Dahmer and, purely going by the actions of these people, decide that all Americans are mass-murdering rapists. You're not allowed to put your opinion accross, not allowed to show that you are a free-thinking rational individual. You're just treated like a criminal purely because of the country that you were born in. Do you think that's fair? Would you yourselves liked to be judged in this way?

Thought not.

Well, even though my mother has posed it to be terrorism, I had to prove her wrong.

All cultures were affected by this: Americans, Israelis, Indians...religions too. Kalpana Chawla, I believe, is Muslim. I'm just assuming that from her last name which is a name that most Muslims keep and the fact that her family is from Pakistan.

But if she is Muslim, and I do think so, I doubt it was terrorism.
