Hey everyone!
Who here used to be a faithful "Soul Train" watcher? I know I am. Even though the show still runs strong, I wish that for once, they would show some of the classic "Soul Train" preformances from back in the day. Yep, when good ol' Don Cornelius used to be hosting. I wish tha either VH-1 or BET would show these gems. I mean, there are some performances that people have never seen in a long time or ever before. I do not really think that "Soul Train" now appreciates where it came from and the way that it is going right now. Shemar Moore does a good job, but he is no Don Cornelius. Well, VH-1 came close when they did a 25th Anniversary thing or something on "Soul Train", and I just wish that the network had did for "Soul Train" what it did for "American bandstand". Hell, "Soul Train" outlasted "American Bandstand" by two seasons! 32 years and not one single tribute has been in sight, not one that really took time and honored the show that brought black culture into our homes and your consciousness. Where would we have been without the famous "Soul Train Line"? What do you all think about this situation? |

I remember when Soul Train first came on the screen. I was a faithful viewer. My favorite was the Soul Train line. I loved the Disco era....... I don't watch it anymore though. They "should" have a nice tribute to Soul Train.

No. I turned it on once, and all it was, was a bunch of people dancing and trying to get in front of the camera.

Soul Train reminded me of American Bandstand except there weren't any white people on there dancing hahahahahahaha. Is Shemar Moore still the host of it? I haven't seen it in ages.

I'm not a big fan of "Soul Train," but it is an important part of African-American culture.
I think re-runs could perfectly fit on BET, or VH-1 Soul. |

I think they should have old re-runs of Soul Train, like from the 70's and early 80's.
