1990's sitcoms - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

How come very few of the boards in the 1990's sitcoms section have reached over 1000 posts?
I know like the old sitcoms (looks at signature), but just wondering why no one posts there....

yeah a lot of shows I like are from 90s/2000s but it's not fun to post cuz no one is ever there

They need more life to them. I mean, they're not so long ago...maybe that's why...they're not really classics yet

I'm usually at the Clarissa Explains It All board. I'd go to the Pete & Pete board, but everytime I look it seems to be lifeless. Is there even a board for The Secret World of Alex Mack and Are You Afraid of the Dark?

I agree with those who said that it's not fun to post on the 1990's shows board b/c no one ever does. I like (or have watched) so many of those shows, but there's no point in posting there if you'll get no replies.

I still post there. Especially on the Seinfeld board. However, other than a few shows there aren't many real great shows from the 90's. IMO

I think it has to do with the fact that of all the decades (from 60's onward) in syndication, the 1990's have the least represented in reruns on TV at this moment (excluding current shows that started then).

Why?
I can think of 3 reasons.

1. Nostalgia- as we get further away from the other decades, we long for them more. The 1990's is still too fresh.

2. The quality of shows is not as great.

3. Many current shows that started in the late 90's are now able to be syndicated and are taking up space- Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends, Will and Grace, That '70s Show, Just Shoot Me, Drew Carey.

So give it some time and '90s nostalgia will start.
God help us.

That was a great show! I loved watching it, I wish I could see it in reruns.
