Default "Do You Ever" Questions

Do you ever....

1. Tape the show and then watch it later when you want to?

2. Take a look at the first few seconds and think, "I can't watch this one.....again!"

3. Flip thru the channels and find no GG's and you can't find the ones you have on tape, and you're like you can't wait until it's on again?

4. Talk right along with the line on the show and you say it word for word? Or talk along with them because you think you know the line but you say it wrong?

5. Notice things the 10th or 11th time around that totally flew over your head all the other times? Maybe someone said something or did something and you never paid any attention to it before, and you think, how did I ever miss that before?

6. Think, "wait a minute, they edited out a scene!"

7. Think the show is funnier when someone is watching it with you?

(you don't have to answer all of them!...add your own if you want)

Yea, in the episode with Jean, Blanche is supposed to say "Well I don't know any personaly, but isn't Danny Thomas one?" Well Lifeime edited it and now she says "Isn't Danny Thomas one?" The only place it's still like that is in the flashback eps.

1. No, but I'm starting to think about taping some of my favorites.
2. Yes. Well, the only episode I do that with is the "Home Again Rose" episode where she has the heart attack. I'm sick to death of watching it.
3. Yes
4. Sometimes
5. All the time...I always miss stuff.
6. Not that I've noticed.
7. No, that's one show I like watching by myself.

The only one I go "ugh" over is when they have the Rita Moreno episode. You know, when they were trying to let her have her own show. Nothing against Rita Moreno, but it's just NOT funny.

Just FYI. The title of the episode is Empty Nests, and was really the beginning idea for the show Empty Nest. The only character that made it to the actual show was David Leisure.

Yes

I've got my tapes and episodes all listed so I know where to find 'em, lol

Of course!

2. Take a look at the first few seconds and think, "I can't watch this one.....again!"
Yes, I did that just the other day with the ep where Sophia is in the hosptial and Dorothy tries to stop Stan's wedding

3. Flip thru the channels and find no GG's and you can't find the ones you have on tape, and you're like you can't wait until it's on again?
If I NEED to watch the show, my tapes are readily accessible

4. Talk right along with the line on the show and you say it word for word? Or talk along with them because you think you know the line but you say it wrong?
Yep!

5. Notice things the 10th or 11th time around that totally flew over your head all the other times? Maybe someone said something or did something and you never paid any attention to it before, and you think, how did I ever miss that before?
All the time. Example, the fact that Stan's monkey was made out of a traffic cone.

6. Think, "wait a minute, they edited out a scene!"
Not really because I don't remember seeing the originals so I don't know what's edited and what's not.

7. Think the show is funnier when someone is watching it with you?
I normally watch the show by myself.

I did that yesterday (Sat. night) and pretended it was a Sat. night back in the late 80's. I put the tape in at 8 p.m. (recorded it from earlier in the day).

2. Take a look at the first few seconds and think, "I can't watch this one.....again!"

Only if I had just seen it a day or two ago.

3. Flip thru the channels and find no GG's and you can't find the ones you have on tape, and you're like you can't wait until it's on again?

Yes, but right now I'm planning to start taping all the eps "just in case" Lifetime pulls the plug! I hope they don't but you never know.

4. Talk right along with the line on the show and you say it word for word? Or talk along with them because you think you know the line but you say it wrong?

All the time....and I'm usually off a word or two with the big lines!

5. Notice things the 10th or 11th time around that totally flew over your head all the other times? Maybe someone said something or did something and you never paid any attention to it before, and you think, how did I ever miss that before?

Once in a while.

6. Think, "wait a minute, they edited out a scene!"

They recently cut out something Rose said when she was giving Sophia good luck with her wedding. Sophia says, "I'm also soaking wet" because what Rose was supposed to say was something like, "a flicken a fleckin" and a bunch of f and s words in a foreign language.

7. Think the show is funnier when someone is watching it with you?

I usually watch it alone, but sometimes it has been a little funnier when the person you're watching it with hasn't seen a certain episode.

1. Tape the show and then watch it later when you want to?

-Yep. I used to do that all the time because I'd be so busy with school, homework, clubs, piano, etc. during the day, night is the only chance I'd get.

2. Take a look at the first few seconds and think, "I can't watch this one.....again!"

-Yeah. But I've probably only watched the show a handful of times since last summer, so I'm not terribly picky when I watch it now (which isn't too often, though).

3. Flip thru the channels and find no GG's and you can't find the ones you have on tape, and you're like you can't wait until it's on again?

-I have them all on tape except for 9 or 10 eps (the tape apparently got left down at school last year), so I know it's around on video somewhere. But I've seen all the GG eps so many times, when I watch something now it's usually Maude or Golden Palace.

4. Talk right along with the line on the show and you say it word for word? Or talk along with them because you think you know the line but you say it wrong?

-Nah, seems kind of pointless to talk along with the show while you're watching it by yourself, LOL!

5. Notice things the 10th or 11th time around that totally flew over your head all the other times? Maybe someone said something or did something and you never paid any attention to it before, and you think, how did I ever miss that before?

-Not really, although if I haven't seen an episode in a while I'll sometimes forget when a really funny line is coming up. Then it comes as a surprise and cracks me up all over again. I love that!

6. Think, "wait a minute, they edited out a scene!"

-I have 8 or 9 original/uncut episodes, but I haven't gotten around to watching them yet. I've read some scripts, though (uncut), and when I'm reading, I'll be able to pick out lots and lots of things that Lifetime cut out. Those of us in the US don't really realize just how much we get cheated out of great material. They cut SO much.

7. Think the show is funnier when someone is watching it with you?

-Nah, I like watching it by myself.
