I have received an episode of the Nancy Drew Mysteries and I'm having a hard time finding what episode it is. It is called (or it says at the beginning) Will the Real Santa Claus... Stars Pamela Sue Martin.
What I need to know is what season (was there more than 1 season of this show?) and the episode number. Thanks if you can help. |

That episode is from the second season of "The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries". The show has kind of a convoluted production history. The first season started in January 1977. It had thirteen episodes, which were evenly split between the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. "The Hardy Boys" proved to be more popular, though, so during the second season (20 episodes), Nancy Drew only got three solo episodes. The rest of the episodes from season two were either Hardy Boys solo episodes or two-hour team-ups with Nancy Drew. Pamela Sue Martin wasn't happy that her segment was being eliminated as a separate series, so she was replaced in midseason by Janet Johnson. For the third season, "Nancy Drew" was completely eliminated. But "The Hardy Boys" ran for only eight more episodes before being cancelled.

Actually, there were 14 one hour episodes in season 1, divided evenly, 7 Hardy Boys and 7 Nancy Drew. The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew met and solved a mystery together in the premiere of season 2, which contained 22 1 hour episodes all together. In season 3, there were 10 Hardy Boys episodes. The episode you are referring to, Will The Real Santa Clause, was the 12th episode aired in season 2, and the second solo Nancy Drew story. I have written a complete and detailed episode guide for this series. If you would like to see it email me.

Yeah, the episodes counts differ depending on whether you count the 2-hour episodes as single episodes, or as two-part episodes. In syndication, they play as two-parters.
