You know you're addicted to the MTM Show when...

- you start acting like Ted Baxter.
- you use the word 'spunk' in every or every other sentence.

Good post idea! (Even if I helped come up with it lol) Let me post some of mine (I've done just about all of them!)

-Every time you go to a video store, you look for the TMTMS season 1 DVD's, and get all excited when you find it!

-You compare your boss to Lou Grant. (Or you compare your co-workers to Murray, Ted, Sue Ann, etc)

-You call your best friend Rhoda

-Whenever you to a funeral, you can't help thinking of poor Chuckles.

-You've always wanted to throw your hat up in the air like Mary did.

OK that's my list. I need a life!!

Default You know yu're addictd to MTM when..

Your apartment isn't complete without a giant wooden "M" on the wall.

You say "Hi Guys" in a deep announcer voice when you walk into a room of people.

Despite all of life's hardships, trials, and tribulations, deep down you can't help thinking "you're gonna make it after all..."

Default more..

- you know the episodes by heart and if you only hear the audio you can visualize the whole episode in your mind.
i did this in school a lot.
- you can quote every episode line for line.
- quote mary in any or every conversation.
- start laughing either to yourself or out loud because you can't help but thinking of a certain line or episode.
- freak out whenever you hear or read about the show online, tv, magazines

thats all i could think of at the moment.

Default Moore (More)

-When you do/say something stupid, you say you're "having a Ted Baxter moment".

-You can name more than 2 of Chuckles' characters off the top of your head.

-You know what episode is on as soon as TV Land shows the title.

-You say "hiya" and "kid" a lot.

-Every time someone mentions Fresno, you think, "It all started in a 5,000 watt radio station in Fresno, California..."

I'm starting to scare myself!

OMG! I do that one a lot!
how about

- you can recite Ted's rip-off story from 'Two Wrongs Don't Make a Writer'.
- you can also recite the whole school scene from 'Ted Baxter's Broadcasters' School'
....and lets not forget Ted's school anthem.

(snaps fingers and taps foot)
'We have no gym,
and we have no pool,
but we have heart here at
(said really fast) Ted Baxter's Famous Broadcasters' school.'

Let's see...

-When you use "MaryManiac" as a username on a message board (or boards).
-When you sign every diary entry or letter with "Love is all around,..."
-I also think about any TMTMS episode at school and snicker to myself, when I think of a funny line!
-When you use Mary wallpaper on your comp desktop.
-When you hear a line in your everyday life, and say, "Hey, that sounds familiar!"
-Or, when you hear a song that's been on the show, (as in "It's a Long Way to Tipperary") and start thinking it over and over again!!
-This happened yesterday: I watched "Jeopardy!" and a contestant on there was from Minneapolis and say, "I wonder if they know Mary Richards!"
-One last thing: when you see someone (a girl, say) in a car from Minnesota, you start thinking about the opening. That happened to me a few days ago.

That's all I can think of at the moment...

I did this one, but my room isn't like this anymore. $20 to the person who can guess who's on my walls now.

- When you decorate your walls in Mary posters and photos.
- When you record episodes onto cassettes and listen to them in the car.
- When you talk about have fun it would be to have a Mary video game.
- When you make customized Mary t-shirts because you can't buy them any where.
- You spend all of your money on eBay buying everything Mary.
- When you see a ford mustang you automatically think of the opening credits.
- Anytime you get behind the wheel of a car you just wanna say 'Vroom, vroom' (MR and the Incredible Plant Lady)

thats all for now.

Here are a couple more:

-You knock over your framed autograph from Mary, and apologize to it (Happened to me tonight!)

-You consider Mary Richards a friend! (I DEFINITELY do!)

-You call it "TMTMS" and expect others to automatically know what you're referring to.

-You believe that you can "turn the world on with a smile"

I have 'Rhoda' beads in front of my closet. I think her clothes are cool. Rhoda is just cool.

You're addicted when...

...(sigh) you know!

...you overhear part of someone's conversation and you think of the next line that follows from an episode.

...you think any stranger on the street "gets it" when you quote episode dialogue completely out of context. (Of course, you're the only one laughing out loud and everyone else is backing away...slowly!)

...a conflict or crisis arises and you use a ploy from an MTM episode to solve it. ("Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't.")

...Ticonderoga pencils make you sentimental about the color yellow and Mustang convertibles (the "deluxe" model, of course).

...instead of flowers, you bring fruit to a funeral.

...you keep wondering who'll host next year's "Teddy Awards"!
