Default Was Arnold a reporter for his school newspaper?

I'm trying to figure out the crossover episode between Silver Spoons and Different Strokes and i was wondering was there ever a Different Strokes episode with Arnold having a interest in being a newspaper reporter for his school? If Arnold was a reporter for his school newspaper, can someone tell me what season of Different Strokes this occurred in?

Eh, it's been so long since I've seen DS. I do believe in either the last season Arnold was on the newspaper staff. I think he wrote an article about drugs or something along those lines. Let me check.

Okay, the ep I'm thinking about was the very last episode. I don't know how long he was on the newspaper staff, but he was on the staff. Here's some info.

Arnold's feature story about his high school football team threatens to turn into a controversial expose for the school newspaper when he witnesses team members buying steroids.

So he wasn't a newspaper reporter in the 82-83 season or 83-84?

Let me check. Okay, I just found another episode.

Determined to prove he didn't fabricate a story about drug abuse in his grade school just to win a journalism contest, Arnold takes his article to the New York City newspaper sponsoring the competition, and when they run his story on the front page, Arnold receives some unexpected more support from First Lady Nancy Reagan.

That episode was done in 83. I did find that one and the one in my previous post. Maybe this one led to his run as a reporter??

Can anybody think of an episode that Arnold starts reporting or comes home and says he is a reporter, anything like that?

Yeah if it's a episodde when Arnold starts reporting for the school newspaper, then the crossover between Different Strokes and Silver Spoons would make more sense.

Okay wait, maybe this is the first episode when Arnold get on the local newspaper staff.

Arnold's Job

Arnold's dream of becoming an "overnight" success as a photo-journalist run headlong into reality when he gets his first job on a local newspaper.

That was in 1985. Ugh, I get the feeling I'm confusing you and anybody else that reads this post. Anybody know a definite answer for Solomon's post?

The DS episode that would have Arnold starting newspaper reporting would have to be before November 6, 1982 in order for the Silver Spoons and Different Strokes crossover episode to be more clear.

I wished I had seen the SS episode, but I haven't. I could be so much more helpful if I had. I hope someone else swings by and answers your questions. This board has kind of been dead lately, but I'm sure somebody else will swing by that knows more about it than I do.

If it doesn't get a reply within a few days, just keep bumping it up.

I can't think that there was ever an episode before the one Jenny mentioned that he mentions being a reporter, so the whole crossover thing doesn't make a lot of sence.
