Default Does anybody here own a phonograph/record player?

I have this record player that is very old school. It's not hooked up right now but I wish it was. We have so many records right now, like the Kingston Trio, A-ha, and the soundtrack to Back to the Future. Who else here owns a phonograph/record player and if you do, what albums do you have?

not mine but out in the garage we have a 1980's record player, its been out there for years and it's covered in dust. Awhile ago I brought it in and put some of my moms old records on and thought it was pretty cool but its out in the garage again because my mom said it was crap and took up space in the living room. o well.

If it's a different tracklisting and cover than the CD, and has a United Artists label, it's the U.S. If everything's identical to the CD, it's the U.K.

Those U.S. records are collector's items, but downright awful. They're bastardized versions of the regular (U.K.) records. When the catalog was issued on CD in 1987, it was decided that they were only going to issue the U.K. albums globally and delete the U.S. versions. Good choice.

Yeah I'm not impressed at all with the tracklisting on it. It just doesn't seem to flow as easily as the U.K. one.

My dad has a record player along with a reel-to-reel in storage. I would like to have record player, so I might buy one sometime.
