Happy Days Reference in Boy Meets World - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The episode "Fear Strikes Out" of Boy Meets World was on the Disney channel. Cory was sitting in the cafeteria talking about the big party where everyone would take turns kissing in the closet. He said he had to do his "lip ups" to prepare himself for the kissing. Is this a reference to when Ralph and Potsie did "lip ups" on Happy Days?

They have made alot of Happy Days references on Boy Meets World. In one episode Cory and Shawn were at a party and Cory asked Shawn how to get chicks and Shawn told him to act like Him. So Cory went up to a girl and went 'AYYY" and when Shawn asked what he was doing Cory said 'I was trying to be like you" and Shawn said 'Thats not me...Thats Fonzie"

And in the one where Cory goes back in time to the 50's Shawn is named Shawnzie, Pat Morita owns Chubbys, and Cory goes home to find Tom Bosley sitting their. Than in one of my favorite Boy Meets World Moments Anson Williams came to the door and it went like this

Anson: Hi, Im Anson Williams

Cory: Dont you Mean Pots....

Anson: NO! Anson Williams...

Ha! I've seen those episodes and I didn't even catch the references!

Oh, well I cought the one where Shawn says "That's not me, that's Fonzie." Those were good episodes, too.

OMG! I saw that too!! LOl. I heard it and was like.. wha?? But they only said it once, so I was like.. LIP UPS!!!!

I think Fonzie said they do absolutely nothing...but, I dunno.

If you decide to try them, don't be like Cory, Potsie, and Ralph by doing them in public. That only works for tv show chacters. In real life, people have people committed for doing things like that.
