Default 27 Years Ago Today...

Todays the day that a show that was discussed on ET in TV Land last night. What is it? Oh yeah. Laverne and Shirley premiered on this date in 1976. Lasted until 1983 but on shows like Joanie Loves Chachi, Laverne & Shirley, Charles in Charge, and Mork and Mindy, there were all HAPPY DAYS! They're still here again though!

See this mentioned on my Happy Happy Time over at Chit Chat:

Here's the link. Enjoy:http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/...threadid=57661

Charles In Charge isnt a spinoff of Happy Days...Even though i used to think it was seeing as Chachi's real name was Charles Arcola.

Well it was a pre-spin-off. You know that on Maude, Henry was renamed James on GT and maybe Louisa might have been renamed Lillian on CiC..

Nah i doubt it. HD was based in the 50's and later in the 60's, Whereas CIC was based in the 80's. Not to mention theyve mentioned Happy Days a few times on CIC.

Wouldnt that be a POST spin-off? I dont consider CiC a "spinoff" but I do count it as having connections.

Chad Doody, you seem to be right about that.

There was one episode where Anthony (Charles' cousin) said that he was like the kid on "Happy Days" who says "Wo Wo Wo". Charles then says Chachi was the dork or something like 'dat..

In one episode, Don Most guest starred as a Convenience Customer who won the lottery. Charles and Buddy were in the store with him and before Don looked at the ticket, he was looking at Scott thinking do I know you? Anyway, when he finds out he wins, Don says "Happy Days Are Here Again!". Scott grins and says "Happy Days got cancelled"..

BTW, who the heck is the kid who says "Wo Wo Wo? Fonzie or Chachi?
