I checked TV Guide Online. Here is their description:

A dinner invitation from Principal Wood piques Buffy's curiosity---and her suspicions; Anya fumes when Xander lassos a date with a flirtatious woman interested in rope; Giles struggles to communicate with a new Potential who speaks only Vietnamese. Episode 14: First Date

Written by Jane Espenson

Giles is telling Buffy and the Potentials about his escape from the Bringer's attack in episode 8 when Spike attacks him, thinking he is the First. Giles learns that Buffy had Spike's chip removed, and later he questions that her judgment is clouded by her feeligns for Spike. Buffy denies this but defends Spike and his potential to be a good person. Meanwhile, she decides to investigate Principal Wood, which leads to a dinner date. Meanwhile, Xander meets a woman and asks her out on a date. At dinner with Wood, Buffy learns that his mother was a Slayer, and he fights vampires hoping some day that he will dust the one who killed his mother. However, Xander's date turns out to be a demon who tries to use Xander's blood to open the Seal of Danthazar and raise her own Ubervamp. The others use Andrew as bait to try to get information on the First, who says he has future plans for Spike. When Xander sends out a distress signal, Spike interrupts Buffy and Wood's date to go rescue Xander. After they defeat the demon, Buffy rushes to Spike, demonstrating to Wood that Buffy and Spike share a connection of some sort. Later, Spike tells Buffy that the First still has plans for him and offers to leave town, but Buffy asks him to stay. And the First visits Wood in the form of his mother and tells Wood who her killer was.

I'm not a big Xander fan, but I kind of feel bad for him. Can't he get a date that's normal? He's constantly dating demons!

I know. I wish he would have stayed with Anya but oh well. I feel bad for Anya more because she truly loved him and wanted to be his wife. God if I had a girl that loved me that much I never turn away from her.

I like Xander, he has character, but seems to never be able to get a break, but he helps out with alot a things, a behind the curtain kind of guy. Have to agree though he has bad luck poor guy, funny though.

I think he should have stayed with Anya, didn't you fans love them together?

Hate to burst your bubble Chris but I couldn't stand her and Xander together.. I always thought she was too outgoing for him or something like that..

She is hot, funny, and nice what is wrong with her? Didn't you get sad just a little for her when she got dumped? At the alter in her wedding gown where she wanted to say I do not I got dumped lol

Xander is a special guy, he dumped her at the altar yes, but Xander is Xander, and even though it was kinda saddening, Xander needs a very special someone for him

Well what about Anya? She didn't deserve to get hurt like that imo.

I finally saw the Xander speech and yes it was touching he should get powers because it is sad to feel out of place with your friends I know.

agree with you there chris, but Xander knows his place and knows himself, and how he helps, he knows he helps as much as he can, and doesnt need some special powers to do it, or some knowledge of demons. He helps out and knows he helps out thats enough for him
