Default They also had a thing with "Benedict Arnold!"

They mention Benedict Arnold a LOT in the show!

First of all, Peter played him in a play.

Since I'm about to drop from exhaution here (I'm going to bed!), I'll let y'all nail all the other incidents where he is mentioned, and I'll check back later in a few days or something.

The only one I can think of is the one where Greg forbids Marcia from seeing Warren Mulaney.

Marcia: "And what do you think you'll do if I do keep seeing him?"
Greg: "Well...Ms. Benedict Arnold, you'll find out!"

1. The "Save Woodland Park" episode. The kids want to save it, but Mike has to make plans for a new city hall on that site. Bobby says, "Who's Benedict Arnold?" referring to his dad.

I know there are a ton more, but I will get together with my son and we'll compile a complete list!

Default Benedict Arnold!

I would LOVE to know why Sherwood Schwartz and his staff put so much Benedict Arnold in the scripts! These are the ones that I can recall.

"My Sister Benedict Arnold": Greg calls Marcia Benedict Arnold for dataing Warren

"Everybody Can't Be George Washington": Peter is cast as Benedict Arnold in the school play

"Double Parked": Talks about Benedict Arnold when Bobby asks who Benedict Arnold was in relation to Mike designing the new courthouse where Woodland Park is. Greg says something like, "Dad's no traitor, he's just doing his job."

"The Show Must Go On" Carol says, she feels like a traitor when at first she doesn't want to sing for Family Frolic Night. Mike says, "Not at all Benedict!"

It was very educational of the Brady producers! Let's face it, would any of us ever have heard of Benedict Arnold had he not be mentioned so often on "The Brady Bunch"?

The writers may or may not have planned on using it that often. Maybe it was just an easy way to describe a traitor after it was used the first time.

I had noticed the frequent references to B.A. also. Someone calls Greg Benedict Arnold in Adios Johnny Bravo.

Benedict Arnold is mentioned in Kitty Karryall Is Missing.

I noticed this watching the Brady Bunch dvd's. It seems like every other episode has a Benedict Arnold reference so I did a search and found that others also noticed this!

Sadly, probably not.

I would; I think he was mentioned on The Flintstones once . [I really don't know when I first heard of him, but it was before TBB.]

I couldn't help but think of Benedict Arnold being mentioned on BB when his name was brought up in history class.

You know, I hadn't thought about in years, even when I wrote on the "You mean to tell me...." thread questioning if jr. high kids would really shun Peter for taking the role of B.A. But referring to history class brings to mind when we covered the American Revolution in the 8th grade, and some guys in the class actually did boo and hiss his very name when it was brought up. I have begun to think that ep is not as unbelievable as I once thought... except for how dumb that drama teacher must have been, taking Peter's illness and sprained ankle excuses seriously.

Marcia calls Jan Benedict Arnold in the Kitty Karryall is missing episode (after Jan votes that Bobby is innocent).
