Here is a new series of threads, "Spotlight on...", a breakdown of "The Lucy Show" episodes that some people out there have never seen. If you have seen them, you will be able to answer trivia about each episode.... no cheating!!!

Here's Installment #1 of "Spotlight on...."

LUCY, THE BEAN QUEEN (EPISODE 113, SEPTEMBER 26, 1966)

PLOT:
Lucy wants new furniture for her apartment, and she wants Mr. Mooney to cosign for it. He won't, so she buys
$750 worth of pork and beans with a "best beans you ever ate or double your money back" guarantee.

LUCY SEZ:
"He'll never fire me as long as I owe him money!"
"You mean if I doubled a penny nineteen times, I'd have fifteen hundred dollars?"
"Anyone who puts out a phony ad like that deserves to furnish my apartment."
"Look, Mister, I don't tell you how to run your grocery store; don't tell me how to furnish my apartment"
"Gee, Mary Jane, I'm a bean queen!"

MR. MOONEY SEZ:
"I wouldn't cosign a note for my mother... and I LIKE her!"
"MINUS?!?!?"
"I put five thousand dollars into this bogus bean business. I expect to make money!"

OTHER QUIPS:
"Pickles were a natural for a couple of old sour pusses like ourselves, eh?" —Colonel Bailey
BAILEY: "Rome wasn't built in a day!"
MOONEY: "We're not in the construction business!"
