I was just wondering how they got off of the island? I was just watching an episode and it hit me....could yo please e-mail me the answer?

The story is very ironic. They live in a paradise and are so involved in trying to get off, they never realise how much better off they are there. They *never* get off the island, except maybe in the movie. Could you please be more specific about what you mean? They never get off the island in the series.

There was a movie filmed in the late 70s called "Rescue from Gilligan's Island" in which a huge storm was going to destroy the island. They tied their huts together to make a "huts-boat" (as Mr Howell called it) and they floated out to sea when the storm hit. They were rescued, but then got shipwrecked again on the same island at the end of the movie!

In the other two movies they got rescued again and went back to the island to create a holiday resort called "the castaways".
