New Class Cast Changes - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Does anybody know why the cast of The New Class changed drastically every season? I think I read once that several 1st season actors were fired because the producers didn't like them, but surely this didn't happen every year? Every single season except the last featured 3 new characters replacing 3 absent characters, and often featured the standard "so-and-so moved away over the summer" excuse. It seems odd to me that a show could maintain an audience for so long while completely changing itself every year...

-I don't think that SBTB: The New Class received the same amout of success at SBTB did. But it did a have a small audience following. In my opinion, I think NBC just kept it to have at least ONE connection to the original TNBC.

All those cast changes was why I didn't watch the show.
