Question Who is your favorite irregular on the show?

Mine would have to be Paul. He was such a good addition to the cast and so funny. In wedding bell blues when he goes in to talk to Rebecca and she kicks him out moments later, I laughed so hard at that. If anybody remembers, in the early days of Cheers, there is a teaser when Coach is telling Sam about how he was talking to a guy who survived the Titanic, and Sam tells him next time something interesting happens, Coach should tell him. Then Coach takes him over to meet this guy who knows the Bonanza theme song and it's PAUL........WITH HAIR. ahhhhhhhh memories.

Paul is my favorite too. They incorporated him into the show more towards the end of the show. He was always trying to fit in with the gang.
The old guy who was usually drunk was funny too. He had some great one-liners. Forget his name. Al?

Yes, it was ol' Al Rosen who has since passed away.

I would say my favorite was Phil. He didn't say much, but when he did it was pretty funny.

Yeah, Al had some great quotes ("I haven't been called that since my honeymoon!"), and Nick was always good for some insults from both Carla and Diane...they do agree on something!

I LOVED Al and Phil. It would have to be a tie between the two of them. They were always an unexpected source of hilarity. Paul was all right, I suppose. I just didn't care for him as much for some reason.

I thought Al and Phil were the best irregulars. Phil had a great line on the mini-cheers reunion on Frasier, I forget exactly what it was though, but it did include the words dumb son of a b*tch, .
