Thumbs up Why I like this show

The reason i enjoy watching "Gilligan's Island" is because the castaways never get off.

Therefore every time you watch you always get that special feeling that they're going to get off this time but you forget that they don't.

I think why most people like it is because it is soooo different from most other shows! Ya never know whats gonna happen! It's very unpredictable! I love it!!!

Well, this is my favorite show of all time, and the main reason I like it was because it dealt with a type of vacation. This was a kind of "escape from reality" from all the pressures of the real world. It is ironic because all the time, the castatways were trying to escape back to their "paradise" or civilization, when infact, they had paradise all to themselves.

This show was also so innocent, and this is another reason why I watch mostly the ols shows of the 1960s. I can count on shows from this time period to have no bigger problems than "Who took my lunch?" bit.

This show always brings back childhood memories of running home after school and doing my homework in front of the TV.

Default It was fun

Gilligans island was a fun show to watch and i agree with algebra74 this show was innocent no sex in this show at all, i remember sherwood shwartz who did another innocent show by the way ( Brady Bunch) said in an interview that the critics panned it said it would never float, he laughed at them because they were the only ones to take it seriously, so when the ratings came in he laughed even harder all the way to the bank. and guess what it is still one of the top rerunned shows of all time. and the cast had alot of fun doing the show except tina louise who used the show as a stepping stone for her career, infact i understand she wanted 50.000 dollars to reprise her role as ginger in rescue from gilligans island thats why they used Judith Baldwin instead of tina, in 1978 that kind of money was reserved for bigger stars.

I like this show for:

1)Tina Louise

2)Dawn Wells

3)The plots

4)The mature jokes ("You must be one of those silly doctors who voted for Medicare")
