Why in the first about 20 or 30 episodes, did
the go like, in the theme song with Gilligan, the skipper too the millionare and his wife the movie star and The rest Here on gilligans Isle Instead Of the Proffeser and Mary-ann, I mean they have names! Why couldn't they have just added afew more syllabyles, and I mean maybe the song writer was just stupid I don't know!

If I remember correctly, The charecters who played the Proffesor and Mary Ann (Their names slip my mind) didn't specify in their contracts that they wanted their charecters names mentioned in the theme, but later, they did.

Really? I thought it was because they hadn't decided if those two characters where going to be permanent or not, as they where toying with the idea of a secretary in place of MarryAnne, and they wanted to leave the cast open-ended so they could add more cast members as needed. I had no idea it was a contractual agreement! I wonder what made them decide to change it?

As said Dawn Wells and Russell Johnson had an agreement not to be put, in the main credits, but in the end credits.
But, the pilot's theame was like this:
With Gilligan
The skipper too
the millionare
and his wife
the other tourists
are all here on GilliGan's Isle!
So The Rest was better.
