Default 25th Hour

Hey everyone, I went and saw the 25th hour and it was surprisingly good. Has anyone else seen it? If you didn't u should, it stars Edward norton and is directed by Spike lee. It is a little slow and does have some strong language but it has a very good moral 2 it and i recommend it.

I'm gonna go check it out as soon as i get some money. I like Rosario Dawson, she's a cutiepie & has a nice body. Spike Lee is a good director but some of his movies have sucked in the past like She's Gotta Have It, Girl 6, Crooklyn.

I don't like Spike Lee at all. There hasn't been one movie that I liked of his. However, I have heard some positive reviews about this movie, so who knows.

Not in my opinion. The only movie of his that I thought was halfway decent was clockers.

No, I can't relate to them because they suck. That's why all of his movies bomb at the box office. IMO

I'm not black either but i really liked the 25th hour. It has an almost all white cast. Still it's really good movie.

His Summer Of Sam movie also had a all white cast & it was good. I like Mira Sorvino who was John Leguizamo's wife in Summer Of Sam, she's a cutie.

Thumbs up 25th Hour

I just saw 25th Hour, starring one of my favorite actors, Edward Norton. It's an edgy drama set in New York against the backdrop of post 9/11. I really enjoyed it.

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/25thHour-1119014/

SYNOPSIS

Spike Lee's bracing adaptation of David Benioff's novel is a vibrant, vital motion picture. Edward Norton plays Monty Brogan, a harmless drug dealer who has 24 hours of freedom before serving a seven-year jail sentence. Nervous, confused, and terrified, Monty turns to his closest friends for support: Frank Slattery (Barry Pepper), a cocky stock broker who resents Monty for throwing his life away; Jakob Elinsky (Philip Seymour Hoffman), a hapless high school teacher who is attracted to one of his students (Anna Paquin); and Monty's heartbroken father (Brian Cox), who blames himself for Monty's demise. And then there is Naturelle (Rosario Dawson), Monty's beautiful girlfriend, who may or may not be guilty of ratting Monty out to the cops. Monty spends his last day trying to ignore the inevitability of time, but everyone and everything only reminds him of the bleak, unpromising days that lay ahead.

With 25TH HOUR, Spike Lee revisits the fiery territory of 1989's DO THE RIGHT THING. Frustrated by Hollywood's cold shoulder toward the tragedy of September 11th, Lee attacks the subject with fervor, resulting in a film that brilliantly captures the mood and atmosphere in New York City in the months following the attack. The film features stellar contributions from composer Terence Blanchard, cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, and Lee's ensemble cast.

This movie sucked & i was totally disappointed in Spike Lee. My brother bought this on dvd & i'm glad i saw it for free cause if i would've rented it, i would've been mad for spending money on it. Rosario Dawson is hot.

Thumbs up

This is the greatest movie of the year. #1!!! Edward Norton is great- as usual and it is the best Spike Lee movie i've ever seen (maybe Malcom X- debatable). But i had to run out and get this movie the day it came out. I drove 3 hours just to see the damn thing. It's one of Ed's best movies too. It's great and everyone should see it- hell- everyone should bye it.
