This is from the synopsis on www.tvguide.com :

Actress Bea Arthur talks about her Emmy-winning roles on “Maude” (1972-78) and “The Golden Girls” (1985-92), along with the success she has enjoyed in the theater, including her one-woman stage memoir “Bea Arthur on Broadway: Just Between Friends.” Among those interviewed are sons Daniel and Matthew Saks; costars Angela Lansbury, Rue McLanahan, Betty White and Estelle Getty; and producer Norman Lear, who declares “she has caused me to laugh as I've never laughed at anyone ever before.”

I'll be curious to see what Betty White has to say, as well as how long ago it was taped. If it's during the run of the show, she may have "had" to be nice. If it's recent, I'll be more reluctant to believe that Bea and Betty hate each other...

And what about Estelle. It must be an old interview from her, because of her health.

I'm sure it will be like the interview she did in the E! documentary that aired several months back. It won't be current, I guarantee.

Weren't those clips of Betty the ones from her IP? Because the only thing she talked about was the show, not Bea. Hmm....
Other than that I thought the IP was great and worth the wait.

Yes, those were from Betty's IP. I think the only new interview done were Lear, the two sons, and Rue. Estelle's was obviously from a few years back.

So, I don't know how I feel. I think that they respected each other, but I don't think they were friends. And for Rue to say "She just wasn't happy" about Bea makes me think that she showed that in some way...

Floor is open to discussion!

Yep, the clips of Betty were from her own Intimate Portrait. They used footage from Estelle's IP as well, of course, since she is now unable to do an interview. Rue was the only one to do a new interview (which was OK by me, because it just meant more screen time for my favorite gal, who looked stunningly gorgeous, by the way. lol). I was very curious as to whether Betty would be on it or not. I actually doubted so, but I guess the producers felt like they needed to get her in there somehow.

I really enjoyed Bea's IP. I honestly knew very little about her beforehand, and found it to be very interesting. Initially I just wanted to see it for Rue's interview segments, in all truthfulness, but I watched the entire show start to finish and thought it was very well done and entertaining.

Funny how they used the soft glow effect with the camera on the ladies.

You know how it kind of looked like there was Vaseline smeared over the camera lens? It's used to give the picture a soft, almost glowing appearance. I don't think that's the technical term for it, lol. I took video production but don't remember a thing. Anyhoo, it's used to give the picture a more elegant, soft look. I think it worked, too! Rue looked like she was about 55, haha! That was the best I've seen her look in a looooooong time. Same with Bea. Softening the pictures just hides a lot of things like wrinkles and whatnot.

Bea's IP was very interesting, I learned alot more about Bea, but I was surprised
to see Betty White in Bea's IP, mainly
because of their feud. I missed a few scenes but did Betty ever talk about Bea
Arthur and not the show?

What surprised me (well, I shouldn't have been surprised) was how much a bitch Talullah Bankhead was. I heard she was the exact same way when she guested on The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour. What a mean old woman she was, lol.

Anyway, I posted my thoughts in another thread, but overall, it was very good.

I believe Conrad Bain's interviews were new as well. I guess Bea and Betty never really had a feud, probably just not on very good terms. I just wish someone would clear the air, lol, it's killing me to know what really happened. It doesn't affect my personal opinions on the show, or them, but I'm dying to know if there ever really was a feud. There's just so many conflicting stories and tidbits that could take it either way.
