How did the castaways finally get off Gilligan's Island? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I have been watching Gilligan's Island since I was a child. I don't ever remember seeing the final episode on how everyone gets off the island.....can anyone give me a clue that might jog my memory?

They don't get off during the show, they get off in a reunion movie (in either 1978 or 1979) called Rescue From Gilligan's Island (such an original title, isn't it?)

IN that movie, they tied the huts together during a tsunami of some sort and floated their way back to civilization.
