Question Rock in Roll fingers

Does anyone here on this board know what fingers make the Rock in Roll sign? I was wondering. Because on Star Dates Kim Fields (Tootie from the Facts of Life) went out with this guy. In the captions it said he flashed her the Rock in Roll sign 63 times during their date. Also I have seen Ozzy make it tons of times.
Is it your thumb and 1 finger or 2.??? Anybody who knows please reply.

Thumbs up

Like the rock smilie says ~> <~ the rock symbol is formed by extending only your forefinger and your pinky.
I'm not entirely sure how this came about. I was told that the rock sign was supposed to represent Satan (the extended forefinger and pinky representing the 2 horns of Satan). Another, more interesting theory, is that the hand gesture represents the number 666 - the number of the Beast (according to Revelations). You see when making the rock sign some people extend their thumb forwards aswell as their pinky and forefinger. And when you make the sign in this way you will notice that your fingers form the shape of 3 sixes. It's difficult to explain witout a picture but the first 6 is formed by your pinky and third finger (which should be curled inward and makes the bottom of the 6). The second 6 is formed by your forefinger and middle finger. And the third 6 is formed by your thumb (which should be pointing forwards - not to the side) and your middle finger.

Cool re: Il Cornuto

Its popularity came out when Ronnie James Dio joined Black Sabbath in 1980 and needed a sort of prop-gesture to replace Ozzy's peace-sign waving he was known for in the 70's. So he came up with the mysterious "Il Cornuto" sign (Latin for horns), which resembled a goat or devil. The secret "devil-salute" caught on with heavy metal fans and its been in use for over 20 years to signify allegiance to HEAVY METAL AND ROCK AND ROLL. NOT necessarily "the Devil".

Btw, if anyone is upset by the mainstreaming of a pagan symbol, just remember Christmas trees are also pagan. And so is Christmas. Like we care.
