Did anyone notice that Lumpy has two sides of him? When he's talking to Wally, he kids around. But when he's talking to Beaver, he yells at him. I find it weird that he changes his attitude when he talks to two different people. I guess he only kids with his friends.

Yeah, I'd say it's exactly what you said. He kids around with his friends and prob. finds anybody younger than him to be a pest.

I always find is funny how when Lumpy is around his dad he acts all sweet and innocent and always referrs to him as "Daddy", even in the later seasons!!

I also find that hilarious. It's so funny to see that big oaf saying "Yes daddy." There is definitely a softer side to Lumpy. I mean seriously, what kind of bully plays the clarinet for the school band?

I didn't like the Lumpy character very much. He was two-faced and a big dumb coward. I thought Wally should have had nicer friends than Lumpy and Eddie, because they mostly just used him to make themselves look better. In "real life" Wally probably would have had friends that he had more in common with, like good students and kids that played sports.

I agree, Lumpy and Eddie were too mean for Wally. But I guess they had to use them to have a way to get Wally and the beaver into trouble, so the show would be more "interesting."
