That's terrible. Last year at my cousin's school, three 6th grade girls put what they thought was a sleeping pill in their teachers coffee. It turned out to just be Advil but still.

Blame the parents? No way!

Fingers ready...and point!

Blame the media, violent TV shows, sexy TV shows, The Bush Administration, video games, rap music, drugs, cartoons, the economy, 9/11, teachers, doctors, gypsies, tramps and thieves, lawyers, guns and money...

But not the parents....

Well said, TJL.

It seems as though there's no such thing as personal responsibility anymore. Blame anybody, or anything, but it's never the fault of the person or persons involved (or, in this case, their parents).

That's really sad... I don't know what the world is coming to. Every era has had it's share of problems, but, it just seems to
get worse.

That's so stupid. Here they only get suspended. YET in another state, a boy gets expelled from school because he was playing with one of those little laser light toys in class (in fact, it wasn't evn his-- another classmate had it, and this kid took it to his desk and played with it for a couple minutes). And he go expelled for that.

Why not blame the parent and the kids? The way I look at it, if you are big enough to try something like that, then you're big enough to be tried as an adult. Okay, let's lower my age a bit. What if I was 10 years old and I went to school and got teased so much that it made me think about sneaking a gun to school. I sneak a gun to school and I point it right at the person bugging me, and I fire the gun. The kid dies. I meant to shoot that kid. I had it set in my mind that I was gonna hurt the kid. I didn't bring some play gun to school. I brought a real gun and I fired it at somebody. What would happen to me? At 10 years old, I'd be too young to be tried as an adult. Would they nab my parents and send me to a boot camp?

You have different cases for everything. Let me add this part. Let's lower my age a bit more and say I'm 2 years old. My parents left a gun out and I pick up the gun. I start playing with it and my little brother comes into the room. The second my brother sets into the room, my finger touches the trigger. The gun goes off and kills my brother. My parents should be responsible in this case. I'm 2 years old. I had no idea what I was doing. I thought this black, shiny thing was a toy. Why isn't my brother standing up? Why does he seem to be crumpled on the floor with blood pouring out of him? My parents left a gun out in plain view for me to start playing with it. I played with it and I shot my brother. I didn't intentionally point the gun at him and purposely shoot him.

I'm sorry, this is just my way of thinking. It's just if I had a 10 year old kid that started to change overnight from a sweet kid to this kid that seems to be mad at the whole world, I have to suspect something. Get what I'm saying? The parents should've noticed something different with how the kid was acting.

I don't know. I just have no idea. This post is jmo, btw.

That is stupid. Only be suspened for trying to kill somebody. That's just plain stupid.
