On Sunday, January 26, 2003, Emmy-winning comedian Jimmy Kimmel brings his talents (too numerous to mention on a single page) to Late-Night television, as he launches "Jimmy Kimmel Live," a distinctive Late-Night talk show he will host as well as executive-produce -- along with Daniel Kellison -- for the ABC Television Network, with a special premiere following the Super Bowl.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live" will air live every weeknight to the east coast, featuring a diverse lineup of guests that will include celebrities, athletes, musical acts, comedians, human interest subjects and dangerously crazy people, along with comedy bits, a house band and week-long visits from a variety of rotating sidekicks. The show will originate from Disney's El Capitan Entertainment Center, located on Hollywood Boulevard directly across the street from the new Kodak Theatre (permanent home of the Academy Awards), the Hollywood & Highland retail entertainment center and Grauman's Chinese Theatre. This famed location will be featured prominently as Jimmy showcases the unique character of Hollywood after dark. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" will be the only Late-Night show broadcast live, a decision that the network is virtually certain to regret. The ambitious goal of going live five nights a week is unprecedented and foolish. On the one hand, Jimmy will be able to react to news and events as they happen. On the other, Jimmy will be able to react to news and events as they happen. This loose format will revive the spontaneity and unpredictability of talk shows past and suit Jimmy's penchant for sloppy, unrehearsed television perfectly. Jimmy Kimmel and Daniel Kellison serve as executive producers. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" will be shot live in front of a studio audience and produced by Jackhole Industries in association with Touchstone Television. Week 1's co-host will be Snoop Doggy Dogg. |

Jimmy Kimmel was so funny on Win Ben Stein's Money, The Man Show and FOX NFL Sunday. This new show should be good. I'm curious to see it.

Jimmy's got a lot of pressure on him to pull this one off.
Late Night Tv is a tough act to break into. Just ask Chevy Chase.
