..."Puerto Rican Day" was once banned from TV. Was this true? If so, why? And, I saw it on TV, was this rule changed? Someone explain all they know.

From what I remember, and if anyone else knows for sure, feel free to clarify...

After the "Parade" ep ran on NBC, some groups complained that the episode was "offensive" to Puerto Ricans, and some objected to the scene when Kramer burned the Puerto Rican flag.
I guess the powers that be at the network and on Seinfeld decided not to create a big controversy and decided to cave in to the pressure from these groups by agreeing not to show the episode again.
On NBC, that is...

Now that the show is in reruns, i guess they feel enough time has elapsed, and the episode isn't going to cause the great outrage it caused yers ago.

And you know what? There's no controversy! Because the show wasn't offensive to begin with...

That pretty much sums it up. Besides, most of the people that complained about the episode, probably never saw it.
