they build a raft by tying their three, ironically (there were four), huts together after having found out that a tsunami would hit the island. After having been carried out to sea, Gilligan cooks fish for everyone on the hut, which causes a great deal of smoke; hence, the smoke is spotted by the Coast Guard, and they are rescued.
