I just saw it for the first time recently because my roommate bought the DVD set. I really liked it. I thought they did a nice job of keeping it pretty true to the book. I know they've tried to adapt Pride and Prejudice to movies, but they really needed a miniseries like this one to do it right. There's just too much to condense to make a 2-hour movie any good.
Also, it's this miniseries that made me a fan of Colin Firth's. Although now I think he's typecast. |
