Richie's Letter to Fonzie - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Remember the letter Richie gave Fonzie at the end of "Welcome Home Richie"? Ever since I watched that episode I have been wondering what Richie wrote in that letter. Has anyone else wondered about this?

Obviously, Richie wrote all about his gratitude and friendship for Fonzie. But, I thought it would be fun to think up a letter to write by pretending to be Richie. This could be a challenge in and of itself. Pretend to be Richie and devise your own letter. I'd LOVE to read what you come up with!

Here's my idea:

Dear Fonzie,

Now that I'm going across the country to start my own life, I wanted to tell you that you have been more than just a friend, you've been like my own brother. When I first met you 9 years ago, I was scared to death. I thought you were a bully and that someone should stand up to you. Since then though, you've proven yourself to be more than a friend; you've become like the brother I never had. (Sorry to all Chuck fans).

You've been there for me when others turned their backs on me. You believed in me when others doubted me. You always protected me from those who would do me or my friends and family harm. I could go to you for advice that I couldn't ask my own father for.

You were there for every major event in my life. We graduated high school together, you helped me get my first college date, whom I would later marry. You stood in as my proxy at my wedding and then delivered my son when I couldn't be there in person. These are the things that brothers do for one another.

Though I'm moving across the country, my heart will always stay in Milwaukee and I will always hold our friendship as one of my most treasured possessions.

You used to make me so jealous whenever you went out with those other girls. You wanna know what happened to the Polaski Twins, the Hooper Triplets and the Aloha Pussycats? Well, there's a bag in my closet, you can find them there...at lease pieces of them. Fonzie, if you love me too, I want you to disguise yourself as a man named, remember this, Russell Crowe. I'll even sabotage the Academy Awards so you win the Oscar for another movie. I'll leave LB for you, Fonzie, I promise!!
