Angela's Ashes and Romy and Michele's High School Reunion....wow two totally different genres there.

I kinda think The Patriot was underrated even though it had Mel Gibson in it.. but thats just me. :/

I've never seen the movie, Angela's Ashes, but if it is half as good as the book, then it is one more moving film. That book is so sad, and to think that it is all true.

I think it's just as good as the book, even though the book is more in depth. Some scenes from the book aren't in the movie but the ones that are are portrayed exactly as they are in the book.

Okay, I have two films by one actor/director, who has had some trouble finding a big box office hit the past few years.
Kevin Costner.
One film of his which is underrated is "Wyatt Earp," a bio pic of the wild west lawman directed by Lawrence Kasden. It's a bit long (3 hours plus) but it has some great performances by an all-star cast, most notably Dennis Quaid, who deserved an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Doc Holiday. Quaid lost over thirty pounds to play the sickly gunslinger! That's dedication!

The other film, which is not as good as Wyatt Earp, but for some reason I happen to enjoy, is "The Postman," Kev's post WW3 tale about a lawless society brought together by a mailman.

Definately better than "Waterworld."
