Cool Let's Come Up With Our Own Christmas Episode

In lieu of a real "Leave It To Beaver" episode, let's come up with some of our own.

How 'bout this? While the boys want an artificial Christmas tree(Beaver wants a blue one, Wally a purple), Ward yearns for an old-fashioned Christmas. So he piles the family into his car, drives them up to Big Bear, in search of cutting down a real tree. Sadly, they get snowbound. They manage to find a cabin seemingly owned by an old man who bears a remarkable resemblance to Kris Kringle. It turns out, however, that the old man is a mountain bum who's squating in someone else's home. Ward finds this out from a mountain ranger, but decides to keep it to himself. Everyone has a good time.

Yes, I know this is a classic "Father Knows Best" episode, but I'm just trying to get the ball rolling.

OK, here's a new one. Beaver has a mean old maid aunt named Neva . . . oh, wait. Another FKB idea.

OK, I need some help. Eddie Haskell sees how beautiful and warm the Cleavers have made their house for Christmas. His house, however, is relatively bare, with his parents deciding to go to Hawaii for the holidays. Eddie doesn't want to go, but Eddie being Eddie, he talks up the big Hawaiian trip, while secretly yearning for a Cleaver Christmas.

What happens then?

I thinks that the christmas idea is terrific! heres what i'll write (by the way i'm using the eddie haskell idea) opening scene Wally, Beaver, June and Ward just finishing up breakfeast Beaver and wally are geting to school.... Wally:Bye mom bye dad! Beaver:yea Bye mom i'll see ya later! (she hands them there lunch and there off)... later on at school Wally and Eddie are geting to class... Wally:What are you doing this year? Eddie:what ya mean? Wally:I mean for christmas, do you have anything special planned? Eddie:Nah I dont dig all that christmas stuff Wally: oh we might go ever to my aunt martha she invited us we told her that we might not but we kinda want to have a family christmas this year ya know have everybody over at our house.... thats all I can think of I know i changed some things around a bit but it's just a idea.

If anyone was to try to write the script, this idea might come across as a little too 'cute.' But I remember there is a first season ep in which Beaver compares the mysterious ways parents find out what their children have done as "like Sanny Claus." Wally starts to put him down for that remark, but then he back off and just says "Oh..." So Beaver still believed in Santa Claus at that time. Who would have been the last one in his class to hold out that belief? Beaver? Larry? Judy? Whitey? OR who would have been the first one to become a "There ain't no Santa Claus"-blowhard (perhaps going back to first grade or kindergarten for that one)?

For some reason, it seems like Beaver would be the last one to believe in Santa Claus.
