Default MP3 sharing software....

Does anyone have any they recommend? I have heard bad things about KaZaa and BearShare, so I want to stay away from those. I used to have audiogalaxy and I didn't like it very much. I went to Download.com to search, but I don't recognize the names of anything there. Does anyone have one they like? I'm only interested in MP3s, so I don't care whether it supports other types of file sharing or not....

Thanks.

Kazaa, at least to me, is arguably the best in downloading MP3s.

Bootsy, yea stay away from Kazaa, Kazaa is full of viruses and spyware and even includes software that uses your computer power and hard drive space for the makers of Kazaa's Company, I recommend Winmx, no spyware, no ads,

Use winmx. That's what I use. I agree about Kazaa. I used to have that, but it slooowed my computer down, so I got rid of it. Winmx is way better. It's free too! http://www.winmx.com

I've been using KaZaA for about a year now, and it's great. I'm not that paranoid, so I don't really care about all that spyware crap. Plus, out of all the downloading programs, I find KaZaA to be the best in selection. They always have what I want, unlike the Napster I used 2 years ago. Now on that, I never found a damn thing. But I guess whatever works best for you.

Did you start using Napster after the Filters were put in?

I stopped using it in the begining of 2000, but it was still really bad way before that.

Thanks for the advise everyone, keep it coming!

I'm definitely going to stay away from KaZaa now. I knew it had alot of viruses and spy ware and things, but that crap about them using my hard drive space, PC power and bandwidth is bull. People should read the article AAOT posted about it and take the author's advice: dump KaZaA and send the company packing.

Oh, and personally, this isn't a matter of being "too paranoid" in my eyes....this is a matter of knowing and protecting my rights to my property.
