Default Anyone go to a Sonics, Carl Jr's, Dairy Queen, or A & W?

Guys,

We have all the expected fast food places (McDonalds, Wendy's, Arby's, Burger King, Taco Bell) but none of the above fast-food places mentioned above. We used to have an A &W around here years ago and a Dairy Queen in my old neighborhood but nothing now. Do you have any of these drive-in's in your city? What are they like? I miss A & W root beer!

I have heard that Sonics is very good for fast food and that they have menu choices that the "reuglar chains" don't. What do you order from these places when you go to them?

Jack

We have Dairy Queens all over the place here, but some of them close for the winter. We used to have an A&W in our mall, but I think they closed that, but now they're building a bunch of KFC's and A&W's like in the same building...

Rememebr the 50's drive in's where you go and drive into a parking spot, yell your order into the speaker, and then a waitress on skates brings you're food? That's what Sonic's is, minus the skates. :P

We have a Dairy Queen, A&W, and Sonic's here, but no Carl's Jr. We have one in the next town over though.

My town has a Dairy Queen. I only order blizzards or sundaes from DQ. I don't eat any of the other food at DQ.

We have a saying here in Texas:

You might not have a stop light in your town, but you're guaranteed to have a Dairy Queen. I swear there is at least one of every town here.

We also have Sonic (I love their ice)
Stars (It's like Sonic)
Boat-N-Net (pretty good little seafood place, I like their chicken)Whataburger (It's a Texas thing, but they are about to build some in Mississippi and Florida. It's a hamburger place like McDonalds and Burger King except it is open 24 hours)
McDonalds, Burger King

Umm...I think thats about it for drive thru places except for the chicken places and pizza places.

We have a whole bunch of Carls Jr's. here in my city, one Dairy Queen, and two A&W's one is connected to KFC. I mostly eat from A&W/KFC, I like A&W's hot dogs and rootbeer floats.

Here (Ft. Worth, TX) we have Sonic (yum!), A & W, and Dairy Queen, but no Carl's Jr. I've seen them when I've traveled but I don't believe there are any around here.

By the way, I knew a couple of people who used to be car-hops at Sonic and you can wear skates if you want to and I think I remember them saying you get paid more if you do. Also, I don't think Whataburger's that good.. well, they aren't that bad, but they're pretty expensive for fast food and I don't think their food is worth the price.

Our Carl's Jr. were known as Hardees and they are all gone.

We have Sonics and they have good burgers!

We have an A&W that's combined with Long John Silver's.

I eat DQ Blizzards all the time. It's the only ice cream I can eat.
